Antarctica

Petermann Island is where the French expedition led by Charcot wintered in 1909, and it is now the site of an old Argentine hut. The island was covered in a blanket of snow and occupied by a colony of gentoo penguins. There were a few Adelie penguins but having a short nesting season most had already left.
