| Tilajari Resort in San Carlos is in the drier portion of the rain forest. The Penas Blancas river runs alongside the property which will overflow its banks during the rainy season and flood much of the hotel area. The river bank is beautiful, with many trees, flowers and crocodiles which we spotted on one of our walks. The grounds are filled with wild iguanas, birds, a 3 toed sloth with her baby, medicinal garden and many varieties of flowers. While taking pictures of flowers I was startled more than once by a iguana. |
